Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Angelina Bordonaro and Angelina is my preferred name. I go by she/her/hers pronouns and have lived in Parma, Ohio my entire life. I am a Freshman and studying Early Childhood Education and hope to teach anywhere between Preschool and First Grade. I really enjoy working with little kids because it makes me happy when they figure something out. I was able to work a summer camp this summer with kids ranging from 3-6. Most of my coworkers at this job were education majors so it was fun to see our future careers begin in a small way. I am into dancing, listening to music, my faith, I am optimistic and enjoy playing with my dog. I have been dancing for 14 years and was a part of my Dance Team in High School, at Padua Franciscan High School. I had the opportunity of being captain my Senior year and was in charge of creating the choreography for our routines we performed at the football games. I hope to continue my dance career in some way this year and also hope to join Campus Ministry and plan to become a Eucharistic Minister for some of the masses. Faith is something very important in my life and I enjoy helping people reach a high feeling with their faith as well. I plan to attend a few retreats as they come up and maybe become a leader for those someday. The Bible is truly a great book to read because it has so many great verses and advice that are written by such Holy people that have such good messages. A few of my favorite verses come from the Book of Psalms. They are short and sweet and help me focus on the true message. From Psalm 25:4-5 “Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths/ Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” These verses from The book of Psalms speaks out to me and truly reminds me that God is always with me to get me through life.

One thing that has to be in place for me to feel comfortable in the classroom is having people around me that I know. I like to feel secure when I can communicate with people so I know for sure I am doing the correct things or taking the right risks. I will become comfortable enough in the classroom if the environment is calm and positive. If there is any harsh criticism that won’t help me in the future, it may become hard for me to continue to be myself. A specific memory I remember from being a student would have to be from grade/middle school, Saint Anthony’s. My mom became a Kindergarten Aid when I was in the 8th grade and I was constantly in the school with her prepping and organising so many things. At most points, I would get to see all of my teachers I’ve had from K-8 every day after school and really got to talk to them on a regular relationship level instead of teacher and student. My grade school will forever have a special place in my heart because the environment is just so welcoming and I love getting to be there all time helping my mom and the other teachers. The only question I have for this class is: will us students be presenting to the class all the time? and if so will we be in groups or will it be individual?
